QQI courses have a national standard and recognition.  They are generally more adult friendly as most assessment is by assignment rather than examination.


This module aims to equip the Learner with a range of communications skills for use in social, personal and work life and to encourage the Learner to have the confidence to use these skills in their daily lives. This includes developing good reading, writing and interpersonal communication skills for use in a range of situations.

Customer Service Level 4

This module will give you the skills and knowledge you need to deliver quality customer care in the work place.  The module is a very useful one for work in all careers and areas of employment that deal with the public.


This module is about the type of maths we encounter in our daily lives.  It includes decimals, fractions, percentages, approximations and effective use of the calculator.  There is also a section on area and volume of common shapes and an introduction to algebra and problem solving.  There is no exam – assessment is through regular assignments.

Computer Literacy

The Computer Literacy module at QQI L3 aims to provide learners with the confidence and skills required to access and use a computer for their own needs.  This will involve exploring the concepts and terminology associated with using ICT equipment as well as understanding the makeup of a personal computer and how the different parts connect.  Participants of this course will also have opportunities to complete personally relevant tasks and develop other soft skills throughout the duration of their study.

Health Related Fitness

The aim of the module is to provide the learner with the personal knowledge and skills required for health and fitness. To understand the short and long term effects of exercise on their health in combination with a well balanced diet.

 Art & Design

This module enables the learner to develop an understanding of the design process from visual awareness to personal responses, using a wide range of media, materials, technologies and processes and then to communicate these skills within their own artwork.

Personal Effectiveness

Personal effectiveness offers a great variety of learning skills encouraging the learner to reflect on their own attitudes and life and promotes skills and understanding which are useful for dealing with a variety of situations in the home, workplace and society.
